CBD Shops in Detroit
There are a couple CBD oil shops in Detroit worth checking out.
Hemp-derived CBD is legal for medicinal and recreational use statewide in Michigan. Industrial hemp was first defined as legally separate from marijuana in 2014 so CBD sourced from industrial hemp has been essentially legal since that time. Now that the state has made even more progress in regards to cannabis, you will have no problem purchasing CBD in a dispensary or through an online retailer as a resident. We’d like to note, though, that as of March of 2019, foods and beverages that contain CBD as an additive, regardless of its origin, are considered illegal by the Michigan state legislature.

CBD Shops in Westland, Garden City, and Livonia
Metro Smokers Shop (8155 N Middlebelt Rd, Westland, MI 48185) is a 4.5-star rated location with premium CBD oil products, liquids and powders, kratom caps, creams, accessories, and much more. The owner and staff are friendly and eager to help customers navigate the store’s selection. Reviewers also note that Metro has some of the lowest prices around; on Yelp, there are numerous promotions, including a a $10 for $15 voucher, %15 discount, and gift certificate. Open seven days a week: Monday-Saturday 9AM-8PM; Sunday 10AM-7PM.

Medical marijuana use was first legalized in Michigan in 2008. Recreational marijuana use was approved towards the end of 2018. As of right now, only one dispensary has opened its doors, but there are undoubtedly more on the way. Due to recreational marijuana use being legal for those over the age of 21, marijuana-derived CBD products are also legal if you’re of age. If you’re not of age, you can’t use marijuana-derived CBD recreationally; however, you may be eligible for a medical marijuana license which would grant you access. Marijuana-derived CBD is the same as hemp-derived CBD, though, so this isn’t something you need to worry about.
The Jazz Club Detroit (16890 Telegraph Rd, Detroit, MI 48219) is one of the most popular CBD shops in Detroit, with a perfect 5-star rating, thanks to its wide variety of premium CBD products available at some of the best prices in the city. Established in 2015, the shop offers CBD oil pens, waxes, concentrates, capsules, and more. The staff is highly knowledgeable and happy to answer any and all of your questions about CBD oil products in general and Jazz Club’s selection. The shop also offers daily specials worth keeping an eye on, so be sure to check their website and social media feeds for the best deals. Open seven days a week, no appointments required: Monday-Sunday 10AM-8PM.

CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in cannabis and the second-most prominent in the plant after THC, which is mostly responsible for producing an intoxicating high. CBD can be sourced either from marijuana or hemp plants and has a wide range of potential therapeutic benefits.

According to guidelines recently released by Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, CBD products produced from marijuana will not be regulated as marijuana if the THC content is below 0.3%. Products derived from industrial hemp with a THC concentration above 0.3% are classified as marijuana and regulated under the laws that apply to those products through the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
In addition to the federal regulation of CBD, the Farm Bill also gave states the option to regulate and prohibit the cultivation and commerce of CBD. States may regulate CBD in food, beverages, dietary supplements, and cosmetic products independently, even before the FDA finalizes its policies.

Submitting falsified samples for testing is considered a felony, which carries a penalty of between one and two years in prison and a $5000 fine.
While there are no specified limits for CBD derived from cannabis, there are limits for cannabis possession. First-time offenders in possession of more than 2.5 ounces and up to 5 ounces may be charged with a civil infraction and fined up to $500. First-time offenders in possession of more than five ounces may be charged with a misdemeanor and fined up to $500.
Only facilities licensed by the Bureau of Marijuana Regulation (BMR) can commercially grow, process, and sell marijuana and marijuana products, such as cannabis-derived CBD. The commerce of recreational cannabis was enacted in December 2019.
Most reputable CBD producers typically include the following information on their CBD product labels:
Still, the agency warns that regulations in flux still require companies to make legitimate claims on their labels. Buyers should nonetheless approach CBD products with caution. A CBD product should clearly state what kind of CBD is used.

This legislation also established a state licensing program through the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) for industrial hemp growers, processors, and handlers. However, Michigan’s proposed licensing program has yet to be approved by the USDA. In the meantime, those who wish to grow, process or handle hemp must participate in Michigan’s existing Industrial Hemp Ag-Pilot Program for the 2020 growing season to meet state and federal expectations.

building a stealth grow box

Building a stealth grow box

We learned above that the cabinet is 24″ deep. Now this Cool Tube was 20″, hardly enough room to attach two 6″ flex ducts for ventilation without having to keep a door open.

Was the cabinet in the above article a little too much for your sensibilities? Then check out these pics by one of our awesome readers!
After the initial investment, $1.64 was my total cost per gram when I factored electricity, carbon filter, and nutrients.

Next to the fan room is space for other more technical things. Here we find the ballast and command switching station.
Final Harvest Weight: 264 grams (9.3 Ounces)
Now that my fan room was set up, I allowed the exhaust to escape upward into a carbon filter. I mounted the filter inside a Rubbermaid tote to make the whole setup more discrete.
This allowed three different height settings for the light. The unused two positions are capped off. Take a look…
See Another Stealth Grow Cabinet in Action and Build Your Own!

Next, I faced the issue of providing my plants their light.

See how one grower built his own stealthy grow cabinet (in pictures), then learn how to build your own!

I would need an exhaust fan unless I can use the carbon filter for that, plus an intake fan unless I can just use an ordinary portable fan.

  • If possible a switch board to set the light timer, CO2, and view the temperature too.
  • Also, I don’t know if it’s possible to make it hydro or soil, I’d prefer hydro, but maybe that’s asking to much for a beginner.

I assume I’d need a PH tool to measure the soil and water and any other tools needed.

I want it to be safe from fires or electrical problems. So if I go away for the day or week-end I don’t have to worry about it.

A reflective inside to help use all light sources.

An automatic CO2 pump to keep levels at 1800 parts per million.

I want to produce at least 8-16+ ounces or more of dried herbs per yield. (So I think I’d need about 9 plants+)

I’m very interested in growing and I’m new to it.

If possible a timer for lights would be good, so I can set it for 18-24 hours or 12/12 just in-case I forget or I’m away.

Hi Everyone, I'm very interested in growing and I'm new to it. Hopefully I can get some tips and help to build a stealth grow box or cabinet. Here is…

Large ridges between veins on new growth and lots of curled leaf fringes – See bottom right pic here:

Few days later, upper leave stems showing a bit of purple. Taco’d leaves unchanged. Upper part of plant remains kind of olive. New growth appears succulent, less pronounced ridges, reduced leaf size and narrow, reduced vigor in upper growth. Lower growth remains lush and healthy.
Theory is that with hi temps, this one started to dry up, drank up most of the water in the soil. EC went up from the calmag salts, and with less water in the soil, salt concentration went too high.

Looking for input on best way to facilitate recovery from heat stress and salts.
Seemed to even be some white salt deposits on some upper leaves.
Seems unlikely to be Mg related with this high of calmag. Prior to arriving at the above now apparently obvious theory, tried a small spot foliar treatment of Mg just to be sure – no affect. Tried some spot foliar treatments of micros, mild tiger bloom, kelp. No affect. Large plant, easy to do a few spot treatments and not affect the whole thing.
Would like to do all possible to facility quick and full recovery.
    Lots of kelp? Water/foliar?

Would aspirin / salicylic acid be worth while? What recipe and best way to apply?

Looking for input on best way to facilitate recovery from heat stress and salts. Large greenhouse plant (green crack), in well amended soil/coco/perlite…

    Heat stress weed

Heat during the flowering stage also causes fox-tails, which are airy and don’t have much substance to them. It’s basically the same response as growing new buds on top, it just looks a little different on some plants. The plant is basically “abandoning” the original heat-damaged bud to try to make a sad new one.

It is possible to partially shield your plants when you know the temperature is going to get hot. You can also adjust your watering schedule to make sure plants at least have plenty of water.
Even though the grow lights were turned off, this is what happened to an indica-leaning plant overnight after being exposed to 105°F (40°C) temperatures during a heat wave.

Example of unwanted “fox-tailing” caused by too much heat
When the heat gets too high, the edges of the serrated leaves will begin to curl up even if there are no burns or other signs of light stress.
Indoors, find a way to lower the temperature and/or increase the circulation in the grow room or grow area if heat is the problem. Having a small fan blowing over the tops of your plants will help prevent hot spots from forming directly under your grow lights. How far away should you keep your grow lights from your plants?
An oscillating fan will circulate air in the room as well as provide a gentle breeze for your plants, and a small one will cost less than $20.
When the heat gets too high, the edges of the leaves will begin to curl up and the leaves will begin to “cup.”

If flowering cannabis plants are grown under too-hot conditions for a long time, sometimes they respond by growing new buds on top of the old ones. When you see extensive growth on top of the buds closest to the grow lights, that’s a sign that the grow light is too close or the temperature is too high. Some people call the new growth (which often grows in spires) “fox tails.”

Too hot for your cannabis in the grow room? Learn how to save your plants from heat stress with a variety of techniques as well as certain supplements!

music to listen to while high

If you enjoy this song while you’re high, check out other Cudi songs as he is one of the best artists to listen to while floating in the clouds.

The flaming lips are a well-known psychedelic rock group that’s been around since the 80’s, and is still relevant and making new music to this day.
The instruments and sounds used in this song will take you on a journey, and you’ll likely end up listening to this song on repeat for your entire high.

The song is a collaboration between French Kiwi Juice (FKJ), who is a multi-instrumentalist from France, and Masego, an up-and-coming R&B artist.
Kid Cudi is one of the biggest weed advocates in the Hip-Hop industry, and sings/raps about it in most of his songs.
It was written and sung by the legendary John Lennon, who described it as his highest achievement as a member of The Beatles.
It really gives you all the good vibes and inspiration to change the world and will leave you with a light, happy feeling inside.
There’s nothing like hearing some sick electric guitar from legendary psychedelic rocker Jimi Hendrix while blazed out of your mind.

The song first appeared on Dr. Dre’s debut album “The Chronic” in 1992. It was the first single off the album and became an instant hit, rising all the way to number 2.

Looking to enhance your high with some music? Then be sure to check out this article. Click here to discover the top 10 songs to listen to when high.

Music to listen to while high

Here are several musicians who are popular within the cannabis community:

    • Snoop Dogg
    • Dr. Dre
    • Pink Floyd
    • Bob Marley
    • Jimi Hendrix
    • Grateful Dead
    • Method Man
    • Cypress Hill
    • Tame Impala
    • Kendrick Lamar
    • Flaming Lips
    • Wiz Khalifa
    • Berner

Neurologist Alice Flaherty researches creativity. She told Mic.com, “No one quite understands it, but the cannabinoid receptors seem to be involved in producing a watchful, alert state.” This vigilance means that some people experience a richer sensory response to auditory stimuli like music, rendering it more enjoyable for some, provided it’s the right type of music.

Sensations like taste, sight and sound, are often felt more intensely with almost any intoxicant, even coffee can alter our perception. Cannabis has had a reputation for providing this enhancement for generations — ancient civilizations used it to increase sensory experiences.
If you’re a hip-hop fan or strictly listen to opera on vinyl, you will get more bang for your buck with the addition of cannabinoids. Daniel J. Levitin, music psychologist and professor of Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience at McGill University, wrote in his book The World in Six Songs that THC’s potential to make listeners feel euphoric and disrupt short-term memory allows listens to be more in the moment and “hear music from note to note.”
There’s nothing more relaxing than listening to a little music with a nice cannabis high circulating through your system. Other times, there’s nothing more exciting — which is its own activity altogether. If you’re smoking weed and listening to music to relax or get hyped, you’re ahead of the curve.
Does that mean these musicians have the best songs to listen to high? Not necessarily, but they have managed to be important musical artists within many pro-cannabis communities and the larger weed culture. Some people enjoy listening to the same music they normally listen to while enjoying cannabis products. Some people like to listen to Afro Man’s “Because I Got High.” To each their own!
As for what you should listen to while partaking, one thing we can suggest is to focus on pro-pot artists. Every penny that you send to a cannabis-friendly musician or performer helps them accrue money, new listeners, click power and other ways to help you evangelize cannabis, via music stars.

That sounds a bit scary, but it just means to use care when consuming, as too much sensory enhancement is overwhelming for some people. For example, though you may want music to sound better, you don’t want to smell strong odors with more intensity at the same time.

What constitutes the best songs to listen to when high? Just like munchies, this all comes down to personal musical preference.

    a reggae session

The list below of reggae-related sessions (including reggae-influenced or even pre-reggae steel drums) was compiled largely from a search through Ken Garner’s book The Peel Sessions. Even if the Ruts and the Slits, which some might dispute as being reggae, are excluded, one is left with a major canon of work.

The Ruts and the Slits music became progressively Reggae tinged and their later sessions can definitely be termed as “reggae”. In a demonstration of reggae’s wider influence, New Order briefly joined the party by doing a cross-over cover version of Keith Hudson’s “Turn The Heater On” in their 1/6/82 session.
In 1975 The Cimarons were booked and Aswad were recorded their first session in 1976. Apart from these earlier examples the majority of Peel’s Reggae sessions are concentrated around the late 70s and 80s and leave a great record of British Reggae at a vibrant time. Peel seems to have had a particular liking for roots reggae – a branch of reggae rooted in the rastafarian faith, dreadlocked, smoking the chalice and giving praise to Jah, and Haile Selassie, Conquering Lion of Judah, Ras Ta Fari. Although Peel complained about the difficulty of booking Jamaican artists, Prince Far I, Gregory Issacs and Culture were among those that did make it along to the BBC studios. The ska revival was well represented with sessions from The Beat, The Specials, Madness, Amazulu and The Selecter and Laurel Aitken – an original ska star who toured to new audiences. Dub was present with the Mad Professor and the New Age Steppers and then the likes of Dreadzone produced a late flowering in dub in the 90s. Although Peel did play Dancehall he wasn’t an enthusiastic fan of lyrics that were based on toasters boasting of their sexual prowess and there are no examples of their work here.

The next sessions were a couple of Bob Marley & The Wailers sessions. The first was recorded on their first full tour of the UK from May to July 1973 to promote Catch A Fire that had been released on Chris Blackwell’s Island label. They also recorded for Old Grey Whistle Test and BBC In Concert. Bob had already spent some time living in London in 1971 to 1972[2] in an attempt by CBS to break him internationally and had done a tour of schools with Johnny Nash including an acoustic set in Peckham Manor School.[3] IBut it was not until they signed to Island that the Wailers started to make an impact outside Jamaica. The second session was recorded on 26/11/73 when they had returned to tour and broadcast as a gift to the nation on Christmas Day. Walters recalls in Ken Garner’s The Peel Sessions:
Some listeners inquired why there were so few reggae sessions, to which John replied that bookings were made but not always fulfilled. Examples are Luciano, who cancelled at 48 hours’ notice to play a gig instead, and Sugar Minott, who was booked three times and failed to turn up to any of the dates.
Peel’s first reggae session, broadcast on 26 December 1970, was by the Rudies. This was their one and only session (recorded 1970-11-23) but the band would reform the following year as Greyhound. British reggae was big at this time and this is a group of Jamaicans who were living in the UK and were intent on riding the interest in reggae. They undoubtedly did a lot to popularise reggae and had a big hit with Black and White. [1] Rudie and Greyhound found it difficult to pass the audition. They auditioned in 1968 as Glenroy Oakley and the Oracles. According to Ken Garner the audition panel recorded that they felt it was “badly played”, “wrong chords” “pseudo reggae” “out of tune”. Although the Rudies session wasn’t viewed by Peel and Walters as a great success[1], it was later repeated in the Peel’s Pleasures series on 24 July 1982. Originally it was decided not to broadcast one of The Rudies’ tracks – Oh Me Oh My.
In 1974 the original Wailers were no more as Bob Marley parted company with Tosh and Wailer.
Greyhound (they had almost exactly the same line up as The Rudies) recorded the second reggae session on 29/6/71 which was broadcast (whilst Viv Stanshall was standing in) on 14 August 1971 alongside a session of the Pretty Things.

“Of course all of them were there then. Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh. I seem to remember it took a lot of time to get started, there was a lot of sitting around, as you’d expect, and, at that time, of course, possessing marijuana was an imprisonable offence; they did everything very discretely, but you could smell it even through the double doors.”

The list below of reggae-related sessions (including reggae-influenced or even pre-reggae steel drums) was compiled largely from a search through Ken Garner’s book The Peel Sessions. Don’t expect to be treated as a paying adult if you’re living in housing aimed at students.. That’s not how any rental company around here works. However, Richard Walker was our property manager and is an excellent guy! He is professional, courteous, and helpful! Numerous things in our apartment needed to be fixed, and he made sure it happened in a timely manner. If I had a question he promptly responded, giving me the most priority possible. Wish everyone at Auburn Realty was more like him!
So far my experience has been fairly great. I’ve never had issues with getting anything fixed I either simply submit my maintenance request online or call and within a day or two maybe even same day it is fixed. Haven’t had any money issues or issues upon moving in everything went smoothly. Upon move out whenever I do, I will let you know how my experience went.

    buy strawberry seed

    Buy strawberry seed

It is fun to grow strawberries from seed! When you are ready to plant outside, be sure to reference the Growing Strawberries page.

Interestingly enough, there are approximately 200 strawberry seeds adorning the outside of a strawberry. And, while often referred to as a “berry,” strawberries are not true berries like blueberries and blackberries are, and their seeds are not true “seeds.” The tasty strawberry flesh is considered accessory tissue, and those tiny flecks we all call “strawberry seeds” are actually fruits in and of themselves. The tiny fruits actually contain the seeds. These seed-containing fruits are called “achenes.” An achene is occasionally also referred to as an “akene,” “achenocarp,” or “achenium.”
Put your ripe strawberries into a household blender. Add one cup of water to the strawberries in the blender and blend on high for 3 to 5 seconds. Try not to exceed 5 seconds of blending time, or the seeds may be damaged. Allow the components to sit for a minute or two. The viable seeds will sink and the unviable seeds will float along with the strawberry pulp. After the good seeds settle to the bottom, pour off the bad seeds and fruit pulp with the water. Rinse the seeds and then transfer them to a paper towel (or low-heat dehydrator) to dry. When dry, store them in a cool, dry place.

This main Strawberry Seeds page serves as a hub for anyone looking to learn about or purchase strawberry seeds. This page will help you understand everything you need to about growing strawberry plants from seed. If you don’t know where to buy strawberry seeds, you can visit our list of suppliers and seed companies who offer them for sale. Following that, we cover how to plant strawberry seeds and grow strawberry plants from seeds. And, of course, you can also read up on the fascinating details and information regarding strawberry seeds and what makes them unique.
Many strawberry seeds need to be cold treated to encourage germination. If your selected seeds require this, fear not. It is easy. Simply wrap your seeds, put them in an airtight container, and place them in a freezer. This simulates winter conditions, and the warming period lets the seed know it is time to come to life. After keeping the strawberry seeds below freezing for two to four weeks, remove the seeds from the freezer. Leave them in the jar or container as they gradually warm up to room temperature.
When looking to buy strawberry seeds for sale online, be sure that you choose a reputable supplier. Once your strawberry seeds are at room temperature and are ready plant, you need to create a hospitable place for your seeds to begin their journey to planthood. A seed tray works well. Obtain a seed tray and prepare it. A good mix for starting strawberry seeds is 3 parts peat to 1 part organic-rich soil. Spread this out in your seed tray to a depth of about one half of an inch.
If you want to grow strawberry plants from seed, you may want to consider saving heirloom seeds from year to year (heirloom strawberry seeds are the same as non-hybrid strawberry seeds). Fortunately, it is relatively easy to learn how to save them so that you can begin growing strawberries from seeds that you saved. Here is the easy way to save your seeds:

Growing strawberry plants from seed is more difficult than simply buying strawberry plants. But, it can be much more rewarding as well. Once you have strawberry plant growing, refer to our Growing Strawberries page for guidance on how to successfully produce a strawberry crop.

    agent orange weed

Its genetic lineage consists of Space Queen, Orange Velvet, and Jack’s Cleaner… so you can expect a mostly Sativa head-high. The effects from the Agent Orange strain are very clear-headed and uplifting, with little to no body buzz holding me back. I found it incredibly easy to focus, making this an ideal strain to medicate with during the day.

In fact, the intense citrus influence is the Agent Orange strain’s most noticeable trait by far. It carries a distinct aroma that is easily compared to the Jillybean and Tangie strains, and I would be very interested to see how closely related they are through terpene analysis.
There was an intense orange scent that rushed out of the bag as soon as we popped it open. The medicating session was near perfection, as the taste matched the scent and the smoke was incredibly smooth with undertones of orange.

Bred by TGA Genetics, the Agent Orange strain is often described as a Sativa-dominant hybrid with uplifting effects. However, it is best known for the distinct citrus aroma.
The one thing that sticks out with the Agent Orange strain is that its aroma is extremely unique and overwhelmingly similar to citrus. Crush the bud up in a grinder and take a big inhale. If it doesn’t smell like an orange peel, it probably is not as good as it should be. Agent Orange buds are typically bright green in shade with even brighter neon orange hairs… similar to the very popular Green Crack strain.
The genetics of the Agent Orange strain alone were enough to tell me that I was in for a flavorful treat. The Orange Velvet strain is a clone-only variety that was gifted to Mz. Jill a few years back, and it has gained notoriety as one of the sweetest strains in existence. Combine that with the slight tropical fruit taste one would expect from Jack The Ripper strain and you’ve got a delicious cocktail of flavors.

“It’s rare you can do a blind taste test and instantly know what strain you are medicating with… but its easy with this strain.”

Subcool and the TGA crew make a habit of breeding hybrids with a distinct terpene profile, and this was certainly the case with the Agent Orange strain. It is a citrus-kissed hybrid that was the result of crossing two long-time favorites from the crew at TGA Genetics: Orange Velvet and Jack The Ripper.

Agent Orange is one of those strains that all connoisseurs want to try to get their hands on, as it would be hard to mimic the smoking experience that the Agent Orange strain provides MMJ patients. It’s rare you can do a blind taste test and instantly know what strain you are medicating with… but its easy with this strain.
