The African Mango tree is native to the humid tropical forests of Nigeria, Southern Cameroon, Ghana and Congo. It grows to 130 feet tall. African Mango trees grow naturally in canopied jungles and rain-forests. Its edible mango fruits have two fruiting seasons from April to July and September to October. The fruits are processed into jelly, jam and juice. The seeds are called Dikka nuts and are eaten raw or roasted.
