A blue-ribbon winner in the ornamental plant category is pink muhly grass. In early spring, delicate blue-green foliage appears and grows to a height of 4 feet with a spread of 3 feet. Just after planting, pink Muhly grass benefits from gentle watering and a small amount of fertilizer. Once established, the plant needs little to no intervention except some watering in extreme drought conditions.
